Electronics Technician

JOB TITLE:                         Electronics Technician

Position Summary

The Technician will work with existing OMCO products and products being developed, including tracking systems for photovoltaic power plants.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Contribute to the product development process by building and evaluating prototypes.
  2. Develop and execute test methods for electronic components and complete control systems.
  3. Support existing products and customers as needed.
  4. May be required to travel to construction sites within the US, for evaluation, repair and documentation of properly functioning electromechanical systems including solar trackers.
  5. Travel 20-35% of the time may be required.
  6. Significant customer interface over time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years industrial experience
  • Knowledge of electronic components including circuit boards, power components, microprocessors, and sensors
  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams
  • Knowledge of ac and dc power supplies
  • Experience using digital oscilloscopes and meters
  • Experience building and testing prototype pcbs
  • Experience using industry specific tools safely, including but not limited to pliers, crimps, strip tools, testers, and screwdrivers
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Proven teamwork skills

  • Ability to travel up to 20-35%

  • Experience setting up and managing a lab environment
  • Knowledge of solar tracking systems

Machine Operator

JOB TITLE:                         Machine Operator

OMCO is seeking experienced Roll Form Operators. Machine operators will be producing custom mounting structures for the utility solar power industry. You will be responsible for running the mill, troubleshooting, inspecting parts, maintaining specifications, and performing routine maintenance.

The Machine Operator position requires the ability to work on your feet and have a strong mechanical aptitude. We provide a competitive wage, generous benefits, and advancement opportunities. In return we ask for a great attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to maintain good attendance.

The shift is Monday-Thursday, 4am-2:30pm.

  • Formal training in mechanical or technical discipline is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Experience using charts, interpreting blueprints, schedules, and touchscreens.
  • General knowledge of measuring tools and gauges.

You should expect to stand for 10-hour shifts.

You must be able to lift, carry, push and or pull 25 lbs. frequently without assistance or 50 lbs. with assistance.

Ability to squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach outward frequently.

English fluency is necessary for receiving proper training in process operation, safety practices and communicating with other departments.

Advanced problem-solving skills and analytical skills.

Basic computer skills.

General math skills.
