OMCO Solar and Create Energy have teamed up to expand U.S. domestic solar manufacturing to serve the utility-scale and commercial and industrial (C&I) markets. This collaboration unites two major American solar manufacturing leaders to deliver cutting-edge solar trackers for both current and future products.

If someone someday writes a history of the solar tracker industry, the author will surely tell of creativity and hard work by thousands of engineers and scientists, over many years, to make trackers more impervious to extreme weather, while also pushing cost down and energy production up. OMCO has been in the business of manufacturing since 1955 and manufactures all of their OMCO Solar Products at their 6 US plants. The most recent investment of over $10MM at their all new and state-of-the-art Huntsville, Alabama Operations, brings a total manufacturing base of over $95MM in manufacturing assets. Commerce Secretary Ellen McNair announced today that Phoenix, Arizona-based OMCO Solar, one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of steel structures for solar panels, plans to invest over $10 million into its second production facility in Alabama, creating 70 full-time jobs in Limestone County.
